On Thursday during the Swiss Davos summit, Andrzej Duda participated in the alleged Ukrainian breakfast. The gathering devoted to the future and the end of the Russian invasion of Ukraine was attended by NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, presidents of Finland and Latvia, Alexander Stubb and Edgars Rinkeviczs and representatives of Ukrainian authorities.
"We all want a peaceful solution in Ukraine and for Ukraine as shortly as possible, but we do not want peace talks or a peaceful solution that would actually be a false compromise," said the Polish President.
He stressed that there could be no "call on Vladimir Putin to sit at the negotiating table". “It is Vladimir Putin who should ask the parties to sit at the peace table,” said the president.
He added that Russia cannot win the war and that war “must end in a fair peace—one that will lead to the restoration of the primacy of global law and will warrant Ukraine peace and peace for the future.”
“You are not strong adequate to halt it”
The speech of the Polish president was addressed on platform X by Russian oppositionist and erstwhile planet Chess Champion Garri Kasparov.
‘Bingo. Everything else is surrender, not negotiation. Asking Putin to negociate just convinces him that you're not strong adequate to halt him. Not militaryly. He is well aware that NATO could destruct Russian forces in Ukraine within a week," Kasparov wrote.
