Andrzej Duda is not fit to be Prime Minister. We know how many Poles do not see him in this role

In August of this year, Andrzej Duda's mission to the Presidential Palace will end. It is known that "almost the erstwhile president" would like to hold any prominent position. If he wants to be Prime Minister, we don't have good news for him. Poles do not willingly approach specified an idea.

Survey: Could Andrzej Duda be Prime Minister?


Only 28.4 percent of the surveyed (12 percent definitely, 16.4 percent "reach") would want Andrzej Duda to presume the function of Polish Prime Minister in the future – according to the United Surveys survey for Virtual Poland.

The current president in the position of Prime Minister would not be a good choice for 52.8 percent of respondents (he does not agree 12.8 percent, he definitely does not agree 40%).

It is worth noting that the answer "I don't know/hard to say" selected as many as 18.8% of those active in the study.

The political preferences of the participants were examined. It turned out that the ratio of Duda supporters in the Prime Minister's seat among ruling coalition voters was 9 to 82% (9 percent have no opinion).

Among the opposition voters (PiS and Confederacy), this rate is 49 to 29 percent (22%).

Duda will quit to the presidential retirement


Andrzej Duda will say goodbye to position on 6 August 2025. Then he can go on a "presidential retirement" at just 53. Nor will he gotta complain about his hunger witnessing as many regular pensioners.

For the last year Andrzej Duda received PLN 21 1000 "on hand" per month, or approx. PLN 30 1000 gross. The Constitution guarantees him a life wage called a colloquially "presidential pension". However, it is not the same benefit that pays elder ZUS.

"In the case of Andrzej Duda, it will amount to PLN 13,815,84 gross per month. The erstwhile president will receive it regardless of retirement age or any another origin of income," says "Business Zone".

Soon the wage of the erstwhile president will be around PLN 11,000 net. For comparison, the average pensioner in Poland receives PLN 3782,58 gross from ZUS, and thus about 3200 net. The minimum pension in turn is PLN 1878.91 gross, or approx. PLN 1713 net.

The presidential retirement is so nearly 4 times the average pension and more than 6 times the lowest pension. And that's not the end of bonuses. Under the law, the erstwhile president has the right to a number of facilities, specified as an office with staff, a business car, safety or wellness care. Costs shall be borne by the State budget.
