Developed by Polish engineers from Advanced Protection Systems S.A. radar FIELDctrl Follow 3D MIMO is not only able to detect and track various types of drones, including those moving at very low altitudes. The device may besides guide anti-aircraft artillery to the target. On this year's MSPO the strategy was first shown in public.
This is not a typical fair premiere, which many at military equipment exhibitions around the world, during which producers present their products publically for the first time in laboratories or factories.
Roman Piesiewicz, co-founder of the company, explains Advanced Protection Systems and its operating director, although so far the FIELDctrl Follow 3D MIMO radar has not been publically presented, it has been utilized for any time by the Ukrainian army in combat.
- FIELDctrl Follow 3D MIMO was created on the basis of requirements prepared by the Ukrainian army, based on their experiences and expectations. The army there already uses these radars and this in large quantities – Piesiewicz comments, adding that the Polish radiolocation strategy can detect 3 from rather long distances Most popular types of drones utilized by Russians – He is able to detect both reconnaissance drones moving at advanced altitudes as well as flying somewhat lower shock Shaheds and tiny FTV drones – says Piesiewicz.
Although the exact method data of the strategy are not, for apparent reasons, public, the manufacturer's representatives, removing a bit of a mystery, inform that the device is able to find and track Shaheda from a distance of up to 19 kilometres.
Polish radar besides copes well with the most hard goals, i.e. fast changing flight way with FTV-type constructions. The device can detect them even erstwhile moving at about 100 metres.
What distinguishes FIELDctrl Follow 3D MIMO radar is its universality. The station can service not only for designation but as part of Skyctrl anti-drone system may besides indicate the targets detected to anti-aircraft defence systems, for example by targeting missiles.
Advanced Protection Systems S.A. and its radar FIELDctrl Follow 3D MIMO marketplace guests MSPO 2025 They'll find it at stand two-f11.
