An American fighter jet hit by its own ship

An different and dangerous incidental took place over the Red Sea, where an American F/A-18 fighter jet was accidentally fired upon by its own cruiser USS Gettysburg. According to the U.S. Army, the incidental occurred as a consequence of the alleged "friendly fire".
