"An act of hostility". Peru breaks relations with Mexico

Peru broke diplomatic relations with Mexico - announced the Ministry of abroad Affairs in Lima. The reason for this decision is that the Mexican embassy granted asylum to the erstwhile Prime Minister of Peru, Betsy Chavez. It is subject to criminal proceedings concerning alleged complicity in the 2022 coup attempt.
