Ammunition to grenade launchers from Niewiadow

PGM's blinds concluded a key investment agreement worth up to PLN 60 million. It will let to finance the launch in Poland of a 40 mm ammunition mill for grenade launchers, with technological support from the Singaporen company ST Engineering. The establishment of the plant is part of a long-term plan to build unchangeable and modern industrial competences in Poland.

To sign the agreement between Polish Military Group a Forum 119 FIZ (an investment fund closed) took place in mid-January. The paper lays down the rules for financing the construction and start-up of a mill in Poland producing 40 mm of ammunition. In accordance with the agreement, the Forum 119 will allocate up to PLN 60 million (the budget of the full task is PLN 67.4 million, the remaining amount will cover PGM Niewiadów).

– The conclusion of the contract is another step in launching the production of 40 mm ammunition in Niewiadów, according to the adopted word Sheet," says Marcin Krajewski, president of the board of Proguns Group, a company cooperating in the construction of the ammunition factory. As he adds, thanks to the signed document, the task has a clearly defined structure, technological background and funding, which will let for its further, gradual implementation.

Production will be carried out in cooperation with the Singaporen company ST Engineering Advanced Material Engineering. PGM’s non-witnesses have concluded with this company licence agreement including technology transfer and know-how for the production of those ammunition. According to the assumptions, the task will affect companies that are part of the NWG Group: Proguns Group, the precision equipment plant and the rocket ammunition factory, which is to play the function of the entity liable for starting production.

– The construction of a 40 mm ammunition mill is part of a long-term plan to build unchangeable and modern industrial competences in Poland – emphasises Radomir Wozniak from the board of Niewiadów PGM. It explains that the financing structure of the task includes both a capital investment in task companies and debt instruments intended straight to start production.

– The task is implemented under ownership control of key operating companies by the Niewiadów PGM. The agreement was concluded on marketplace conditions typical of specified industrial projects," Wozniak emphasises.

The mill in Niewiadow will be able to produce 40 mm ammunition, utilized primarily for grenade launchers and automatic grenade launchers, in view of the needs of Polish armed forces and recipients from 20 countries of the European Union. Forum 119 (investment fund closed by the London Fider Group) besides implements a task from the Niewiadów PGM construction of 155 mm ammunition elaboration plant with 3 production lines in Niewiadów.
