Republican Senator Dave McCormick of Pennsylvania responded sharply to the decision of the Norwegian Oil Fund to sale Caterpillar shares and respective Israeli companies. In his letter to the U.S. administration, he called for consideration of sanctions against Norway, including customs, visa refusals and restrictions on access to US financial markets. McCormick argues that the activities of the fund undermine the interests of the United States and constitute a form of boycott of Israel.
