February 18th evening USS Gerald R. Ford switched on his civilian navigation strategy for a fewer hours, making it visible to civilian maritime traffic tracking programs in the world. The unit and its escort were then about 300 km off the coast of Morocco and headed for Gibraltar. The Americans seemingly wanted to show that their group was moving towards Iran to aid the government of this country "take a decision" in negotiations with Washington. Today, on February 20, pictures appeared from Gibraltar showing a ship passing through the strait.
