Just before Christmas, the U.S. Department of State published a decision in which 5 people from Europe were banned from entering the country. As stated in [justification](https://www.state.gov/releases/office-of-the-spokesperson/2025/12/announcement-of-actions-to-combat-the-global-censorship-industrial-complex/) Secretary of State Marco Rubio, they were referred to as “radical activists” whose goal was to “censor American authors and companies” and “silence American viewpoints”.
