Donald Trump posted a text text from Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday, thus removing the veil of secrecy as to the form of behind-the-ground talks concerning Greenland, among others.
The president of France began his text with the words “My friend” to then declare his readiness for joint Franco-American actions in the case against Syria and Iran. Subject: “I don’t realize what you’re doing about Greenland,” wrote Macron and invited Trump to a gathering in Paris.
Trump released the message without comment and did not mention to the invitation. The authenticity of the text confirmed the sources quoted by Reuters. The publication occurred shortly after Trump threatened 200-percent duties on French wines and struck personally at Macron, questioning his political future.
