Americans are working on lasers against drones

According to [Breaking Defense](https://breakingdefense.com/2025/11/give-em-e-hel-army-seeks-industry-ideas-for-counter-drone-laser-systems/), the RCCTO (Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office) has submitted a request for information on laser systems designed to defend fixed objects and land forces, as part of the E-HEL (Enduring-High Energy Laser) program.
