Soldiers of the 6th Mazovia Territorial Defence Brigade again host their allies from across the ocean in Radom. A fresh change of American soldiers arrived in Poland, which, like their predecessors, will train side by side with the Mazowieckie Territories.
Polish-American cooperation continues – a gathering of 6MBOT soldiers with another change in the American Army was held in Radom with 407 civilian Affairs Battalion (407 CA BN) soldiers stationed at the Centre of Preparation for abroad Missions in Kielce. The gathering opened a fresh phase of cooperation aimed at exchanging experience, improving skills and building the interoperability of both armies.
From rescue dogs to weapons and equipment
To begin, American partners became acquainted with the activities of the K9 Search and Rescue Group's brigade with Aira's dog. The Territorials told the guests about the function and destiny of the squad and prospects for further development. The soldiers of the 62nd Light Infantry Battalion then presented weapons and equipment utilized in regular service to American soldiers. The static show became an chance to exchange experiences and conversations on applicable applications of equipment in combat activities. The peculiar interest of the guests was the weapons of Polish production – the VIS-100 self-repeated pistol and the modular GROT rifle.
Joint training – common objectives
The gathering ended with working discussions during which a cycle of training and joint ventures was planned. The main focus will be on improving medical competence – especially in the field of combat medicine and crisis management.
– Our aim is to improve the skills that can find the lives of soldiers in crisis situations. Joint exercises will increase the effectiveness and precision of actions in conditions close to the battlefield," stressed Lieutenant Colonel Arkadiusz Kawka, Deputy Commander of 6MBOT.
Power in co-operation - Alliance in practice
Both American and Polish soldiers expressed their satisfaction with the fact that they continued their cooperation. The fresh group from across the ocean will proceed the activities launched by its predecessors, and plans will further grow the areas of joint training.
Joint exercises form part of a wider programme of common exchange of experiences and raising the combat readiness of both armies. Regular meetings and training build not only military skills, but besides strengthen relationships and a sense of allied unity.
