American arms dilemmas or derivative of the war in Ukraine [COMMENT]

Over the years, the discussion about defence has been dominated in the West by 2 phenomena — disarmament and cuts in troop numbers, as well as betting on highly advanced, time-consuming and cost-consuming weapons systems. What is natural, the arms manufacture has adapted to both trends. However, the war in Ukraine, as well as strategical uncertainty in another parts of the planet forced fast reflection by policymakers, military and industrialists. But it will not be an easy and pleasant process, even if we are talking about the USA, let alone in a number of European countries. However, without undertaking changes in reasoning about armaments production, it will not be possible to talk about adequate deterrence capacity. The West needs to change its approach and it will most likely be related to the transformations taking place on the American soil, i.e. in the country the leader of NATO or AUKUS.
