I was appointed Ambassador of Polish Congresses. For this occasion, I had to say a fewer words. That's what I said:
“Thank you very much for everyone who has given me this distinction. The organization of the conference in 2024 was not besides difficult: large PhD students, very helpful company Mazurkas Travel, beautiful Warsaw University in Krakowskie Przedmieście. But I remember the conference we held at the same place at the end of PRLu. The university was in a state of ruin. My wife was walking hundreds of square feet of curtains that covered the scratched and molded walls. But the biggest problem was toilet paper that wasn't in any toilet. My friend, however, miraculously bought respective twelve rolls, but there was a problem - you gotta watch this paper due to the fact that they're about to steal. We truly have come a long way.”
It's good to remember that.
