In connection with the escalation of war in the Gulf region, data centers belonging to the American technological giant Amazon in the United arabian Emirates were damaged. 2 data centers were “directly attacked by drones”, announced the company on Monday evening (local time). In Bahrain, another object of the company was besides damaged as a consequence of “dragon attack at close range”.
The attacks caused “structural damage, cut off our infrastructure and in any cases required firefighting, resulting in additional water damage”, Amazon explained. Amazon did not supply information on whether any of the employees were injured in drone attacks, but noted that the company is working closely with local authorities and "priority is given to the safety of our employees throughout the process of removing effects".
