An Allied Mission in Polish Sky

As part of strengthening NATO's collective defence for the next weeks, 5 Eurofighter EF-2000 Typhoon Air Force fighters will be stationed at the 23rd Tactical Aviation Base in Minsk.

Germany is another NATO country that sent a contingent of its air forces to Poland to strengthen the protection of the sky over the east flank of the Alliance. German airmen will operate from the airport in Minsk Mazowiecki as part of the allied Air Police mission. This is the first specified mission in our country to be carried out by Luftwaffe pilots. Until now flights over Poland have been made from their home airports.

RECLAMA

"This is simply a applicable expression of solidarity and alliance cooperation. Together we care about the safety of our part of Europe" - commented Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on the X portal.

Apart from airmen from Germany, pilots operate from Polish airports at the minute from Sweden (from the base in Malbork), United States (View and Grace) and Australia (Glass).
