Florida lawyer General James Uthmeier announced his intention to build a fresh detention centre for migrants in the erstwhile military complex in Miami-Dade County. The proposed location is located in the wetlands of Everglades – an area known for the occurrence of alligators and pythons – and Uthmeier himself named the planned object “Algator Alcatraz”.
