In consequence to Russian rocket strikes and drones at the Polish border, defensive procedures were launched. Residents of east provinces (Lubelskie and Podkarpackie) received RCB alerts and heard alarm sirens. A loud sound heard, among others, in central Poland was the effect of crossing the sound barrier by fighters (sonic boom). They were picked up urgently to the patrol area. For safety reasons, the Polish Air Navigation Agency temporarily halted the civilian traffic of aircraft at the airports in Rzeszów-Jasionka and Lublin.
No violations of Polish airspace have been reported. After controlling the situation in Ukraine, the military operation was completed and the emergency was cancelled.
