The Russian economy, which has been driven by war spending and the mobilisation of the arms manufacture for the last 2 years, has clearly been hampering. The latest figures show that the military boom is going into recession, and even the Kremlin authorities are no longer able to hide it – GDP growth forecasts have been drastically reduced and the budget deficit is rising at a rate much faster than planned.
