As you inform Airbus Defence and Space A330 MRTT became the world's first flying tanker, certified to automatically transfer fuel in the air to another aircraft (A3R - Automatic Air-to-Air Refueling) in daylight. This function is part of the fresh SMART MRTT initiative, developed by Airbus.
