DELHI- Last Year, Thailand announced visa-free travel for Indians from November 10, 2023, to May 10, 2024; following this, Air India (AI) launched direct Delhi-Phuket flights in December 2023.
Both Indian carriers, Air India and IndiGo (6E), have made back-to-back announcements to operate second daily flights between Delhi and Phuket (HKT).
Air India Phuket Flights
The Tata-owned carrier was the first to announce a second daily service to Phuket, a popular beach destination; except for Wednesdays, the airline will operate a new flight from June 1, 2024.
After initiating service to Phuket four times weekly in December 2023, Air India boosted its frequency to daily flights by January 2024, and it’s now expanding to nearly double daily flights.

With these additional flights, Air India will offer a total of 34 weekly flights to Thailand from Delhi and Mumbai.
IndiGo Delhi-Phuket Flights
How can IndiGo miss this golden opportunity to give Air India a head-to-head competition so two days later, India’s largest domestic carrier announced a second daily flight from Delhi to Phuket.
Further, you will be surprised to know that the flight starts on June 1, 2024, the same as Air India’s second DEL-HKT flight.
