On Friday evening, a debate took place at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk on "A sound justice strategy – a strong economy", which was organised by the Ministry of Justice. The gathering was attended by Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar, among others.
The Minister said before the start of the debate in Gdańsk that for him 1 of the most crucial objectives is to "to bring justice straight" in an organization sense.
— That's why we spend so much time discussing the National Judicial Council, the position of judges, the ultimate Court, due to the fact that the goal is to bring about shortly the situation as a citizen goes to court that there is simply a justice before him, of whose position there is no doubt “Bodnar said that it was besides very crucial to improve the efficiency of the courts, to combat the protractiveness of proceedings, to simplify judicial procedures, to digitize and to cooperate better with another state institutions.
The debate was attended by the Vice-President of the Board of the Maritime Port of Gdynia SA Katarzyna Gruszecka-Sbuszła, Rector of the University of Gdańsk Anna Jurkowska-Zeidler, Spokeswoman of tiny and average Entrepreneurs Agnieszka Majewska and economist Prof. Leszek Pawłowicz.
Adam Bodnar heard “a full series of objections”
Majewska stressed at the conference summarizing the debate that a smooth justice strategy is little hard for entrepreneurs.
Bodnar said that the gathering in Gdańsk was crucial due to the fact that he heard a number of objections about the functioning of the state, which went beyond justice issues, specified as burdensome taxation checks, the functioning of administrative courtswhether relations between entrepreneurs and ZUS.
— I think that thanks to these debates we are able to get very concrete information on what needs to be changed and to what extent. What goes on during all these debates is the efficiency of our state's functioning, the streamlining of proceedings, the promotion of various alternate forms of dispute resolution specified as mediation – Bodnar said and added that much was besides discussed about the effectiveness of the prosecution's operation, the dimension of court proceedings and administrative mediation.
