Known chess player convicted in Ukraine. For helping the Russians

The safety Service of Ukraine informed about the verdict it had made in the case of a well-known chess player and erstwhile Ukrainian citizen, Sergei Kariakin. He was sentenced by a court in Chernivtsi to 9 years imprisonment for assisting Russian authorities. The conviction was passed in absentia.
