Nowy Sącz has become an arena for a unique sporting event – the 5th global Volleyball Tournament The girls of late prof. Lech Kaczyński, president of the Republic of Poland. The organizers of the tournament were the “Polish Newspapers” Club in Nowy Sącz named after Jan Olszewski, STS Sandecja, Association of Integration Club.

The competitions opened and presented awards to the players: president of the Nowo Sądecki club “GP” and besides manager of the Faculty of Culture and athletics Tomasz Baliczek, president of Sławomir Wojta and editor of “Sądecki Yearbook” Jarosław Jakubowski.

The honorary patronage of the tournament was taken by president of Nowy Sącz Ludomir Handzel and manager of the Małopolska Road Traffic Centre Marek Pławiak. During the ceremony, awards were besides presented for players not only on the field, but besides in the cognition competition about president Lech Kaczyński. Over 200 players competed in 2 age categories: juniors and young girls. Juniors: 1st place – MKS MOS Wieliczka, best player – Natalia Lorek; 2nd place – Góral Muszyna, best player – Amelia Nichiewicz; 3rd place – STS SANDECJA Nowy Sącz, best player – Aleksandra Stawiarska.

Saint Francis received a mission from God – in his dream he heard, “Go and repair my Church” – and he was actually fixing it. Similarly, Pope Francis, through his meekness, simplicity and love for another man, fixed much in the Church."

RETURNED| At the invitation of the Euro MP Anna Zalewski, representatives of “Gazeta Polska” clubs from Lower Silesia in the European Parliament in Strasbourg visited. The event was attended by clubs from Wrocław, Wednesday Śląska, Wołów, Strzelin, Dzierżoniów, Międzylesia, Zgorzelec and Warszawa Bielany-Żoliborz. During the stay, participants were introduced to the work of the institutions of the European Union, as well as to the European Parliament building. A peculiar and most touching minute of departure was to celebrate the 18th anniversary of the death of St John Paul II. At 9:37 p.m., in front of the cathedral in Strasbourg, “Barka” was sung – the beloved song of Pope Pole. The visit was conducted in a warm atmosphere and was an chance to integrate club circles from different parts of the country. The plans already include further trips to European institutions in Brussels and Strasbourg, with the participation of “Gazeta Polska” clubs from Lower Silesia and Opole.

DECLARATION| “Gazeta Polski” Club Zgorzelec had the honour of attending a visit to Brussels, during which meetings were held with Euro MP Anna Zalewska and Euro MP Tobias Bochenski. This was a valuable and constructive visit, focused on the key issues concerning the region, with peculiar emphasis on defending strategical interests related to the operation of the Turów mine. The discussions highlighted the importance of active participation in decision-making processes at European Union level and the request to represent the voice of local communities. Participation in this journey strengthened the belief that only through cooperation and commitment can effectively search the future of the region and its people.

PARTICULAR| In Częstochowa there was a gathering organized by the Częstochowa club “Gazeta Polska” with Prof. Jan Majchrowski, who in his speech presented crucial moments from the past of Poland, reaching back to the times of the Polish Kingdom. prof. Majchrowski referred to hard events specified as the Swedish invasion, the partition of Poland and the period of the Second Republic, stressing that despite these dramatic moments in history, Poles were always able to face adversity. LATVIA| The Karol Nawrocki Election Convention, a civilian candidate for the office of president of the Republic of Poland, was held in Łódź. This year's edition of the event brought with it 2 crucial messages: a reminder that the Constitution of the Republic of Poland provides legal protection for human life, and a celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the coronation of Bolesław Chrobry as King of Poland. During the march there were many members of the clubs “Gazeta Polska” who appeared with club banners, demonstrating their values and supporting the message of the event. The slogan “The right to life is the foundation” guided the participants of the march, highlighting the importance of defending life in public debate.

CLUBS| Members of the “Polish Gazeta” Club from Łuków one more time had the chance to participate in Adrian Klarenbach’s “Republic Club”. The gathering took place in an atmosphere of open, substantive discussion and was an excellent space to share reflections on the current socio-political situation in Poland. During the discussion, many crucial topics were discussed, including the future of the country, social challenges and civic engagement. Members of the club stressed how crucial it is that Poles can freely exchange views and search solutions together.
