A slip-up of Russian intelligence. The Swedes already know how SWR works

Two Russian abroad intelligence officers operating under diplomatic cover, an agent recruited by them from the embassy of another country, underground meetings in the Stockholm area, passing on information and "gifts", and in the background an interest in the central Swedish decision-making process. Säpo observed the activities of the SWR for a long time, gained detailed cognition of the course of the meetings, the tasks given to the agent and the kind of information obtained, and then took actions that led to the termination of the operation. At the same time, the case shows that despite the improvement of cyber intelligence and another method tools, Russian services inactive attach large importance to the classical recruitment of individual sources.
