Poles can now usage the qualified signature free of charge in the mCitizen application. This tool, equivalent to its own signature and recognised throughout the European Union, enables digital papers to be signed safely.

Traditional, printed papers are replaced by digital papers and their safety requires appropriate signatures. 1 of the surest ways is to sign qualified, equivalent to own-handed and recognised throughout the European Union.

New function in mCitizen


Until now, the qualified signature was only available for payment. Now Polish citizens can submit it free of charge in the government's application mCitizen. Poland is the first country in the EU to make this possible in the authoritative application for its residents.

– Poland is the first in the European Union to supply free signature qualified in the government application. This saves time, convenience, and above all a certain and safe way to arrange formalities online. In the mCitizen application you can sign 5 papers free of charge per month. Just proof with an electronic layer and the latest version of the application – said Deputy Minister of Digitalization Dariusz Standerski, as quoted on government pages.
