A revolution for seniors? elder rental under fire

The elder rental was to be a revolution for the elderly, offering them comfortable and better adapted municipal apartments in exchange for their own larger premises. However, the Ombudsman strikes an alarm. Stanisław Trociuk, deputy of the RPO, criticises the bill in a letter to KPRM, indicating that he does not full defend either seniors or sub-rentees in his current form. The biggest threat is the hazard of losing access to its own premises after the end of the contract and the complex interplay of 3 legal relations that threatens evictive and financial chaos. The RPO demands an urgent change of regulation to take account of the actual needs of the aged and the disabled.
