Polka evacuated from Iran had to buy herself a ticket to Poland. A spokesperson for the Ministry of abroad Affairs explains why she was treated with a photo.

Polish citizens from Israel and Iran are being evacuated in connection with the ongoing conflict between these countries. Due to the fire, the evacuation points of Poles were established in neutral territory. Planes depart from Jordanian Amman and Azerbaijanian Baku. During the evacuation action from this second city, a situation arose that raised many doubts. A Pole fleeing Iran had to buy herself a ticket to Poland with her own money. The MFA spokesperson explains why she was treated differently.

During the Thursday press conference, the spokesperson of the Ministry of abroad Affairs was asked about the situation of Poles fleeing Iran, who had to buy themselves air tickets to Poland. This raised many doubts, as evacuations by Polish authorities are free of charge to citizens.

"I repeat, we leave no one. The regulation is that a individual who is threatened is transported to a safe place," said Paweł Wroński. He explained that the reason for having to buy his own ticket by any evacuated was due to dual citizenship.

‘I will describe the situation. The convoy that left Baku was a diplomatic convoy. It was a rental bus from our embassy. On the presumption that we are not leaving anyone behind, we besides invited those people who feel threatened in Iran and have asked us for aid before," said the MFA spokesman.

Among specified people, he continued, "you have found yourself a resident." Wronski explained that the female lives in Iran permanently and, in addition to Polish, besides holds an Iranian passport, and that she is not entitled to a free flight.

"This woman was transported free of charge by our diplomats' passage with Azerbaijan and in Baku was a average cruise aircraft. Our diplomats helped this woman buy a ticket" - said the MFA spokesman.

He stressed that the same rule of the MFA is applied to people with dual citizenship who are evacuated from Israel.
