The problem of fertility in Poland raises quite a few emotions, especially erstwhile it comes to financial issues. Recently, alleged bullies have appeared in the discussions. This involves an anonymous petition that had late entered the Sejm. However, according to her assumptions, it is not only people without children who gotta pay more.
Bully is not a completely fresh thought in Poland. This was the fee paid by single and childless couples over 25 in the times of the Polish People's Republic. Its premise was to support fertility in our country, but was yet withdrawn in 1973. This subject is now coming back, with various proposals coming up, which form would precisely be taken by fresh bulls.

Bully 2025. Higher pension contributions would not only pay childless persons
The bull's subject in 2025 was first addressed by Marek Jakubiak, president of the Polish Free Republicans and presidential candidate. As the Infor portal reminds, the politician advocated in late January on Polsat News that the childless should finance 800 plus granted to each kid and so pay an additional taxation of PLN 800. An anonymous petition, which entered the Sejm on February 17, 2025, presents somewhat different assumptions. Bulls would include persons after the age of 30 and would take the form of a higher contribution to wellness insurance, namely:

double for childless persons,
increased by 50% for marriages with only 1 child.

The petitioner provides for exemptions from additional fees upon presentation of medical documentation confirming the unpaid, as well as in the case of the death of the born child. But why is this specifically dependent on pension contributions?

The childless taxation is intended to encourage children. Changes in government would have a major impact on salaries
The petition focused primarily on the impact of childless people on the pension strategy in Poland.

Childless persons, without contributing to the future growth of taxpayers and contributors, naturally burden the strategy without compensating for this by participating in its future maintenance

- we read in the justification for the petition on the Sejm website. The author points out that an increase in pension contributions would have financial benefits and increase the stableness of the full system. At the same time, it suggests that this may be an incentive to have children or more. The petition was addressed to the Committee on Petitions on 20 March 2025.

"Fact" decided to look at how specified a proposal would affect the salaries of childless people. The Social Insurance Institution presently charges 19.52 percent of the basics for pension insurance. According to the calculation of the log, workers earning the lowest national (currently PLN 4666 gross, i.e. PLN 3510.92 net) after any change of regulations would be discharged as part of bull's PLN 455.40. This amount evidently increases with remuneration. With a gross wage of PLN 6000, it would be PLN 585.60, and at PLN 10.000 - as much as PLN 976.
