We have a period of uncertainty ahead of us

Commentary by Maciej Witucki, president of the Confederacy of Leviathan

There may be a period of uncertainty and organization conflict ahead, which, if materialised, will not benefit the economy or the position of Poland on the global stage. However, we hope to avoid specified a scenario.

It is in the interests of all of us that we have unchangeable economical development, attracting investment, innovation and building Poland as the leader of growth in Europe. This requires the leadership of the president, who will be able to cooperate over political divisions. Therefore, we anticipate the fresh president to emergence above the party's interests and to cooperate responsibly with the government on issues crucial to the future of our economy.

From the position of the business environment, Poland's relations with the European Union and our allies are fundamental. We look forward to reviewing the positions of the fresh president towards the European Union and Ukraine. We hope for a clear message of support for Poland's presence in the EU. A strong, well-functioning and reformed EU is simply a warrant of further economical improvement in our country.

We besides anticipate a fresh president to be unequivocal support Ukraine in its fight for fair peace and its further integration with the European Union and NATO. This is not only a question of solidarity and values, but besides of safety and stableness in the region, which is the foundation of a healthy business environment.

Today, in the face of deep social divisions, Poland inactive needs a president who will connect alternatively than divide. The President, who will stand for development, European integration and common values. Only then can we respond effectively to the challenges of the future and build a strong, modern economy.
