A meteo balloon spy mission? More questions than answers

After the remains of an unknown Cyrillic balloon were found in Masuria on Saturday, it was immediately assumed that it was meteorological equipment. Meanwhile, the determination of meteo conditions over the enemy's territory should besides be classified as espionage activities, which may, for example, later facilitate the operation of own aircraft (including unmanned ones).
