W Moscow has a spectacle that has not been seen since Stalin. There is an unprecedented wave of arrests in Russia. Generals, officials, billionaires and local notables go to jail. Those who have built Vladimir Putin's empire for years are now in prison. The large purgatory began in May 2024, erstwhile the omnipotent minister of defence Sergei Szojgu was dismissed.
