As we reported on Defence24.pl, last week the Interministerial Task Force for [orka's program](https://defence24.pl/defence-policy/Polish-orka-chosen-Swedish-power-comment) submitted a advice to the Council of Ministers regarding the preferred supplier of fresh submarines for the Polish Navy. The Council unanimously supported the recommendations of the Group. As a result, on 26 November, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Minister of National Defence, was able to announce the accession to the negotiations with [the Swedish Government](https://defence24.pl/defence-policy/submarine-of-Sweden-Vice Prime Minister-only-which-all-requirements) and Saab Kockums shipyard, which received the highest grade in the proceedings. The intention is to sign the applicable Memorandum of knowing by the end of this year.
