A battalion of sappers will be created in Augustów

Later this year, a battalion of sappers will be built in Augustów,” the head of the Ministry of defence Mariusz Błaszczak said on Sunday. The main task of the battalion is to strengthen the east wall and safe the alleged Isthmus of Suwalski due to geographical conditions, terrain and strategical location of communication routes.
