We remind you of the 2019 entry.

On 6 September, he left Warsaw bombarded by the Germans and headed east with a wave of refugees from the capital. It reached the area of Polesia [today's Ukraine].
He was 54 erstwhile he died.

The poet and the playwright's catastrophe, his sense of the end of civilization and his own death, his "multiple" portraits of himself and of the people encountered and the accounts of life - there is not adequate talk.
Perhaps the shadow of death in the face of the invasion of the "red plague" has caused that since the times of the Polish People's Republic they have been willingly utilized for a lying image of the fun original-portraitist and his drug adventures, avoiding what constituted the meaning of his life and death? possibly in the current left-wing contexts of culture, is this image distorted by years of communist propaganda besides more attractive?
The creator's game with himself is visible on symbolic photography - the multiplicity of images makes us think that we see the real face of Witkacy; and these are only her reflections....
It's time to break the stereotypes and look seriously at the real face of Witkacy. Especially today...
