Professional activity essential for payment of the benefit
From now on, receiving 800 plus will depend on whether the applicant is active. The Social Insurance Institution will measure whether the applicant worked or was active in the period before submitting documents. The check will take place on the basis of data collected in insurance systems, without the request to supply additional certificates.
What will be considered professional activity?
The provisions specify precisely what forms of activity meet the fresh condition. The recognised include, among others, employment on the basis of a contract of employment or contract of order, business activity, but besides the collection of a sports or doctoral scholarship, receiving unemployment benefit, or participation in training funded scholarship.
Applications submitted from 1 February 2026 will require more detailed data. The applicant will have to:

indicate the PESEL number of your child,
provide information on crossing the border,
confirm the legality of the stay in Poland,
confirm the fulfilment of the condition of professional activity,
make a message that the kid attends a Polish school or kindergarten.
