Changes to the 800 plus programme were introduced in the government a fewer months ago, even in 2024. In practice, however, they will start to apply (they will besides be subject to verification) from a fresh transportation period, which starts on 1 June 2025. Families whose children do not go to Polish schools will lose the chance to collect money.

Important changes to the 800 plus program
The changes to the 800 plus program concern the limits on payouts. This applies primarily to families from Ukraine whose children must attend the Polish school in order to receive a household benefit of 800 plus and Good Start.
There is 1 exception: in the school year 2024/2025 students studying in the program class of the highest in the school operating in the Ukrainian education strategy will not be obliged to attend Polish schools. They can complete their education in an online formula.
Of course, the changes to the program only concern children who, given their age, should go to school.
1 April is due
June changes in payments 800 plus is not the only crucial issue that concerns families receiving this benefit. Another crucial deadline is April 30. Applications for benefits must be submitted by that date in order to keep the continuity of payments. If this happens after that date, the money from the benefit will besides somewhat later affect the parent's account.
ZUS recalls:
in the case of applications lodged between 1 May and 31 May of the year in question, the determination of the right and payment of the benefit granted for June and July shall take place no later than 31 July of that year;
where the applicant submits an application during the period 1 June - 30 June of a given year, the determination and payment of the benefit granted for June, July and August shall be made no later than 31 August of that year.
On the another hand, if the parent "misses" the deadline for the application and does so only after 30 June, the benefit will be paid from the period of the application. Therefore, only the submission of the application by the end of June guarantees that the educational benefit will be paid for the full period of the service moving from 1 June to 31 May of the following year.
