Last Friday a bill was passed that makes the payment of the benefit 800 plus foreigners dependent on whether they are active professionally. The case concerning these measures was addressed by the legislature on Wednesday.
As requested by the Deputy Minister of the Interior and Administration, the Senators adopted the bill and the amendments it contained without any amendments. 57 of them voted for, while 32 were against.
KO wanted to accept without amendment
The legislature coalition powerfully welcomed the fast adoption of the task without any amendments. In an interview with PAP Senator Marek Borowski of KO revealed that his club did not intend to submit any substantive amendments to the bill.
– This case is urgent. Even if there is simply a request for legislative amendments, they will be postponed. Now the point is that the bill should enter into force before 1 October," Borowski said.
