In May 2025, a petition was sent to the Sejm to introduce a fresh benefit – 800+ for pensioners for raising children who work in Poland present and pay taxes. The proposal has gained large public interest, but at the same time raises a number of legal and financial objections. The Ministry of the household points out explicitly: "the current rules do not supply for specified an allowance, and the introduction of the task seems unlikely".
