The 75th anniversary of our writing coincides with the day of large decisions about his further fates, which due to financial troubles, but besides in the spirit of the era can transform from printed edition into electronic form and so transformed to appear on the Internet. It seems that this is what the Weltgeist (the spirit of the world) wants, who goes with the alleged spirit of time. It is hard to be surprised, although Gutenberg's era is not yet ending, as books are inactive appearing in paper editions, while e-books besides gain the position of widely recognized editions.
Our readers do not request to be reminded of the large function of the Polish Tygodnik from Melbourne over the last 75 years. As Fr Wiesław Słowik said: “We are 1 large family. A weekly family." And he rightly noted that our weekly magazine was the oldest cultural writing in Victoria, although Poles are not the richest and most many cultural group here (see the volume “Tygodnik Polski. Sixty years in the service of the Australian and fresh Zealand Polonia”, developed by Witold Łukasiak and published by Kosciuszko Society in Melbourne in 2010, p.226). It is worth rereading this memorable volume released in Anna Domini in 2010, at the same time ferocious year, due to the fact that the tragically marked assassination of Tupolew, in which the president of Poland Lech Kaczyński and his spouse died over Smolensk, and besides 96 pilgrims flying at the ceremony in Katyn. How can we forget this unsuspected crime?! Especially erstwhile her investigation Donald Tusk gave with all perfida Russian side!! Of course, in order not to establish the circumstances of the assassination, which was just done thanks to independent experts, including the subcommittee of Macierewicz. We must always remember this according to the wise maxim of St.John Paul II, besides on the title page of Mr Łukasiak's volume mentioned here: "Only the fact makes man, nations, societies truly free." Charles Wojtyla always pleaded for fact and freedom, even before he was elected Pope. In 1974 he wrote in the poem “Thinking Homeland”: “Freedom must be constantly won ...We cannot accept weakness. The people are weak if they accept their defeat...The hours proceed to return on the large shield of history."
Today, 75 years after the wonderful initiative of Father Edmund Trzewak (assisted by Father Joseph Janus), who contributed to the creation of the Polish Weekly, we witness the metamorphosis of the magazine: from paper editing it is slow transferred into the electronic registry like a beautiful butterfly preserving its values, kind and authors. It is an authentic metamorphosis, not the end of its existence, and so this event will be celebrated with a solemn banquet alternatively than a strip. This is the end of the large historical mission and era erstwhile the Polish weekly came to our homes and mailboxes, after which it was opened with excitement and trembling of hearts, read with joy and emotion. Tygodnik informed, reminded our history, traditions, culture, sometimes gastronomy, entertained, and, as needed, defended Polish and Polish people. This was e.g. in 1967, erstwhile the Australian newspapers appeared anti-Polish calumnies. The National Army had to be defended, the weekly besides published a brochure in English "Saving Jews in War-torn Poland, 1939-1945", which was sent to the editorial board of writings, libraries or universities. I urge reading more about this in Mrs. Bogumiła's excellent book Zongołowicz “Andrzej Chciuk. An Antipod writer” ” ( Kraków, WL 1999, second edition in Łódź 2021). However, our enemies do not halt in calumny, even at the National Gallery of Victoria in 2002 lies were exposed that Polish soldiers together with...Germans murdered Jews!? And again the editorial of the Weekly (then Grażyna Walendzik, Jan Skibicki) had her hands full as we read at Łukasiak (op. cit. p.134). Many lies had to be corrected by Tygodnik during the word of Michał Filek or Zdzisław Derwiński. Will akin calumnies should be resisted on the net erstwhile the Weekly becomes an electronic metamorphosis? This transformation, the acceptance of fresh robes, coincides unfortunately with a very dramatic situation in our Homeland, with which we have a deep bond as if organic, and at the same time intimate for each Polonus separately. Many men many minds, of course. However, we must not forget that there are values that have been unchanged and respected by generations for centuries. Not just God, Honor. Fatherland, but justice after freedom so much awaited by men. Unfortunately, the courts and prosecutors, inherited from the times of the Polish People's Republic, were not its guarantors and did not rush to reconstruct it. Hence, the mission of Law and Justice, which with large pain repaired the regulation of law in spite of the violent opposition of the peers and the interference of the European Union, imposing on Poland its overbearing dissidents. Values, protected by the Decalogue, are besides trying to trample and destruct fresh "trends", for which children are primarily the sole in the eye, besides conceived. And their depravity is intended to make planet control easier, while demeaning and destroying democracy. Therefore, we must express our opposition, say definitely "non possumus" as in another registry was erstwhile expressed by the Primate of the Millennium by Fr. All the more so, due to the fact that behind the fresh “trends” lies the low goals of the EU institutions, which, from the federation of sovereign nations, is slow becoming a superstate, and in it democracy dies and the existing veto law of weaker states is being undermined. Thus, everything is to be subject to the will of predators, tandem Germany and France, with Berlin's visible advantage. And the dismantling of the III Polish Republic, carried out by Tusk, is then intended to facilitate the absorption of Poland – already as a grey region or as a non-smoking land – into this superstate. These are not burning concerns, more and more voices on this subject appear in publications specified as "Cele D. Tuska and the end of the 3rd era of the Polish Republic?" ( Krzysztof Jaworucki, naszybblogi.pl, 21 July 2024). The author mentions the constant attacks on PiS MPs (started by the unlawful intrusion and arrest in the presidential palace of Kamiński and Wąsik), the harassment of Zbigniew Ziobry and his deputy Romanowski from Sovereign Poland – the brutal invasion of the home of the sick Ziobry combined with the burglary, and the current arrest of Romanowski, cuffing him and undressing him bare (!), which is evidence of the derision of Bodnar police, who despite a letter from the EU does not recognise the double immunity of a completely innocent MP. Practices are completely reminiscent of the actions of Stalinist torturers or law-enforcers who violated the physical integrity of patriots and interned by WRON decree. We go back to times of inhuman dictatorship in front of Europe and the world! Torture against Fr. Michał Olszewski and others arrested, in the absence of an ombudsman's consequence and a strong condemnation in the Sejm, where we yet managed to reject the depenalization of the abortion bill. We are now waiting for the voice of the President, who frequently spoke critically on Television, of the unlawful acts of bodnarization. And the intrusion of police with crowbars into the KRS archive undoubtedly belongs to specified actions. Bodnar's Tusk office has no legal legitimacy, repression of PiS politicians, present in opposition, violates brutal democracy. Bodnar besides plans to prosecute Prime Minister Morawiecki and president Kaczyński, and everyone sees – as Jaworucki writes – that the government of PiS was a pro-Polish government and did the most after 1989 for Poles by raising their prosperity clearly and implementing simple ideals of justice, e.g. by the de-succuation bill reduced pensions for 39 1000 members of the PRL services in 2017. Unfortunately, now Minister Kierwiński as part of a "fast path" (not a bill!) restored old pensions – see entry Zbigniew Kuźmiuk ( namyblogi.pl - "Restored pensions to PRL officers", 22 July 2024) – for now 10 1000 esbeks. Thus, you can see in black and white what circles of peers support Tusk, dedicated to German interests and the denominated EU – Jaworucki continues what is already a widely circulating opinion. And Mr Marian Kałuski, editor of Tygodnik ( 1974-77), besides writes that Kashub Tusk – a German parobek – destroys Poland...And millions of Poles let this terrible dismantling of the 3rd Polish Republic, which was proclaimed in 1989 ????? Is it in your head, or is the full nation crazy? Madness, which in the anti-Polish interest stimulates the "eight-star" hatred of patriots?? This madness is driven by a abroad agent, and Tusk - a full-time Polish grave digger - has been moving unpunished since 1992.
In these dreary times, we return to the question of truth, maimed by the peers, mutilated by the noisy and false propaganda of Tusk. Current events in our country are not a reflection of differences in the visions of building Poland as the coalition shouts on 13 December, but it is the return of supporters of the old PRL regime, who want to teardrop down the unfinished III of Poland and the debris of both structures (PRL and III of Poland) hide with premeditation within the superstate, alleged European Union. This is the real intent of Operation Tusk, supported in Berlin, and in Poland, the advocacy and rape of peers hiding in parties specified as the 3rd Road with a hysterical “megaphone” Holovnia or PSL, abruptly announcing with Kosiniak-Kamysz mouth that he was never a vassal PO (?) And 2008-2015, or the authoritative PO-PSL coalition, has he forgotten? It is not just the Czarzasty group who studied at the most "red" faculty of political sciences of the University of Warsaw, and was later 1 of the actors of the "group holding power". With zombies like this, we were expected to build the 3rd Republic? I will skip the lost Confederates and another politicians, and in general the essence of the thing is that with the peers it is impossible to build the 3rd Republic, they pull us back and undo the clocks. This is not what Karol Wojtyla meant erstwhile he wrote that “hours proceed to return on the large shield of history.” And let us be glad that the Weekly of Poland will not vanish from the life of emigration and will inactive stay a mirror of a distant country, although possibly in the clouds of the Internet.
