Andrzej Łukawski, organizer “Volyński march” in Warsaw, he'll go to jail for net entries on flagism. This is the consequence of a request made to a man by the Ukrainian Union in Poland.

It all started in 2019. It was then that Andrzej Łukawski received a call to the Warsaw prosecutor's office, in which he was first interviewed as a witness. shortly after that, he heard the charges and was prosecuted.

He accused me. Prosecutor Maciej Młynarczyk from the territory Attorney's Office Prague-North. It was about making publically available publications by me on Facebook, in which the Ukrainian issues were discussed and giving their comments with terms specified as “bandersyn”, “bander” and “steppe wilderness” – Andrzej Łukawski explains in a conversation with me. – I was accused and yet sentenced for my words “There is simply a stick on the flag face” a commentary on the movie with Ukrainian shouts “Poland has not yet died but must die”. In the course of the proceedings, Młynarczyk suggested to me that those who apologized to the Ukrainians for the same words I used, received smaller sentences. I had no intention of apologizing to anyone, especially since my comments afraid the adherents of the flag ideology, not all Ukrainians.

Hinges

On 21 April 2021, by judgement of the Court of Appeal in Warsaw, Andrzej Łukawski was sentenced to a full of 7 months imprisonment in suspension for 3 years and a fine of PLN 2 thousand. In addition The court has committed a man tofailure to print online abusive and discriminatory statements on grounds of national and cultural affiliation; and reading a book by Witold Szabłowski entitled “The large Traitors. Neighbors from Volyn”. It is simply a book about Ukrainians who, according to the author of the publication, were to aid Poles during the Volyn massacre.

Suspension of the judgment

From that point on, there were seditions to suspend imprisonment. The first approach was done by a probation officer. He argued that Andrzej Łukawski did not read Szabłowski's book, which, according to the curator, should consequence in the placing of a border activist behind bars. SR for Warsaw-Mokotów did not take into account the curator's application. Second approach was done by the Ukrainian Union in Poland. The organization applied to the court “to consider ordering the execution of the sentence” of imprisonment and to oblige a man to “stop utilizing and posting entries on Facebook”. 25 August 2023. the application was granted by SR for Warsaw-Mokotów. On October 27, 2023, the Warsaw territory Court maintained its sentence. He argued that Andrzej Łukawski did not read a book about “righteous Ukrainians”. According to the territory Court, the SR for Warsaw-Mokotów wrongly failed to take into account the curator's application of 2022 to suspend the sentence. SO besides felt that Andrzej Łukawski had broken a commitment to failure to print online abusive and discriminatory statements on grounds of nationality and ethnicity, in March and April 2023 publishing online entries about “invaders” and “bankerization”.
Especially utilized by the sentenced word “recipient” in the opinion of the territory Court is simply a pejorative nature, which reconciles people fleeing Ukraine in connection with the ongoing armed conflict on its territory – we read in the message of reasons of the SO.

A Pole in a losing position?

The reality is as follows. On November 7, 2023, SA in Gdańsk maintained the acquittal of German businessman Hans G., who threatened his employees: “I hatred Poles; not that I don’t like them, I hatred them. They're all assholes and idiots. It's better in Africa. You are shit.” “Yes, I am! I'm a Nazi! It is the responsibility of this country (Polish) that I am such.” At the same time, Andrzej Łukawski, a border activist, for many years organizer of Volynian marches in Warsaw, and at the same time editor-in-chief of the Kresowy Service, despite his advanced age and cancer, for online anti-Banderian (not anti-Ukrainian) entries is to go “fart in the pasiak” due to the fact that he did not read a book about good Ukrainian neighbors. And this is all at the request of the Ukrainian Union in Poland.
