7 Jurors Sworn In For Trump Trial, More To Come

The first 7 judges have been selected and court in to service on erstwhile president Donald Trump’s criminal trial in fresh York, with the selection process continuing to choice another 5 to make up the 12-member jury panel, as Lawyers grilled members of the jury pool to find who they can sit in fair judgement of the candidate president.

Potential judges faced hours of questions on April 16, with dozens of possible members asked on their occupation, marital status, social media posts, and where they got their news.

Each side utilized respective preemptory strikes to reject certain judges, while others were upset over politically charged social media posts.

In 1 case that sparked a spate of controversial online reactions, justice Juan Merchan rolled that the justice who joined an election victim parade for president Joe Biden was not disqualified due to the fact that the justice claimed she thought it was celebration of essential workers.

Juror No. 4 is an IT consultant who usually gets his news from the regular News, The fresh York Times, and Google.

Juror No. 5 is an English teacher who utilized to get her news from Google and TikTok.

Juror No. 6 is simply a software engineer who likes going dancing and watching TV, and gets her news from The fresh York Times and TickTok.

Juror No. 7 is simply a civilian litigator from North Carolina who now lives in fresh York City’s advanced East Side.

What’s the Case About?

In the case, Manhattan territory lawyer Alvin Bragg charged president Trump with 34 counts of false business records.

Under fresh York state law, falsefying business records is simply a misdemeanor. But the charge could be chosen to a felony if the fraud was utilized to cover up or commit another crime.

Mr. Bragg has chosen the charge to a Felony by alleging that the underlying crime was a strategy to influence the 2016 election by browning unfavorable news cover of an alleged affair with adult performer Stephanie Clifford, besides known as Stormy Daniels, in exchange for $130,000 in “hush money” payments.
