Retirement after 65 with allowances. What benefits do seniors have in 2025?
1. "The Thirteenth Retirement"
Thirteen pensions, as we wrote in the subject, are benefits paid annually to all pensioners, regardless of the amount of pension, age or fitness.
Height in 2025: PLN 1884,61 gross, or PLN 1528,26 net.
Granted automatically, without the request for an application.
It is taxed (12 percent PIT) and the wellness contribution (9%).
2. "Fourteenth Retirement"
The 14th pension is an additional yearly benefit whose amount depends on the amount of pension received.
The full amount is due to pensioners with pension up to PLN 2900 gross.
Above this amount the regulation of "gold for gold" is applied – each gold over PLN 2900 little "fourteen".
The benefit shall not be paid if, after the reduction, its amount is little than PLN 50.
The advanced threshold is PLN 4734.61 gross – above this amount the allowance is not due.
Payments were scheduled for September 2025.
No request to apply – ZUS pays automatically.
3. "Maintenance allowance"
Granted to the aged or with the declared incapacitability to live independently. You can read more about the nursing taxation on the subject.
Height since March 2025: PLN 348.22 per month.
Automatically paid to persons aged 75.
The younger must submit a decision on full incapacity for self-existence and submit an application.
4. "Energy lump sum"
The energy flat is simply a benefit for selected groups – mainly combatants and people being repressed.
Height since March 2025: PLN 312.71 per month.
It serves the militants, the repressed and their widows and widows.
Paid with a Kombatant addition.
5. "Complementary Value 500+"
A supplement for people incapable to live on their own, with limited income.
Maximum amount: 500 PLN per month.
It serves people who are completely incapable of self-existence.
The income shall not exceed PLN 2552.39 gross.
The "gold for gold" regulation applies in case the threshold is exceeded.
It requires the submission of an application and supporting papers incapacity.
6. "Free Medicines 65+"
Seniors may benefit from the refund of medicines on the peculiar list "S". We've been writing more about free drugs lately on the subject.
They service everyone after being 65.
The prescription with the appropriate marking is written by a doctor.
The list of medicines is regularly updated by the Ministry of Health.
7. "Combatant and compensation allowance"
Support for earned people – erstwhile soldiers, opposition activists, secret teachers.
Compatant supplement: PLN 348.22 per month.
Compensation allowance: PLN 52.24 per month.
Appropriate papers and the position of a combatant or a individual being repressed shall be required.
The application must be submitted to the Social safety Office or to the Social safety Office.
