Women can end their professional activity at the age of 60, while men can only end their professional activity at the age of 65. However, there has been a discussion for years on the gradual increase in retirement age. Let us remind – in 2012 Donald Tusk's government introduced a law that assumes that the retirement age of women and men will be equalized and gradually increased to 67 years (for women from 2040 and for men from 2020). In 2017, however, the Law and Justice Government restored earlier rules – 60 years for women and 65 years for men.
