The 616th anniversary of the conflict of Grunwald passes.
The prudentness of our ancestors and the sanctity of Jadwiga – King of Poland directed our geopolitics to an alliance
with Lithuania – our erstwhile enemy.
So renovated in 1320 for Elbow Kingdom of Poland as Grand Duchy of Lithuania
they were looking for a common enemy in the Order of Teutonic Knights under the protectorate of Papacy.
The situation was at least awkward, due to the fact that the Christian King of Poland in an alliance with Hussites and pagan Lithuania opposed the armed arm of Papacy, i.e. the Teutonic Order.
The conflict of Grunwald besides active a ritual, something else.
The concept of the ecclesiastical state (today the Vatican State) consisted in spreading the influence of the Papacy in the areas of the “Pagan” as the Universal Monarchy.
The armed arm of this monarchy was frequently the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire but in this case it was the Teutonic Order who moved from Jerusalem to Venice and from Venice to Malbork.
