The execution, which was scheduled to take place a year ago, was postponed. Robert Roberson was set a fresh deadline for the execution of the sentence, due on October 16. The closer to that date, the stronger the efforts of his defenders to gain time again and prove he's innocent. Among those who believe in his innocence are the chief detective who led the case, and among others the celebrated American writer, John Grisham. The prosecutors disagree.
