$280 billion for semiconductors. The U.S. legislature passed the law

The US home of Representatives has adopted a bill to allocate USD 280 billion for subsidies for the American semiconductor manufacture and for investments in the improvement of this technology. The long-awaited bill is designed to aid the US compete with China. The home passed the bill a day after the legislature passed it.
