Commentary by Dr. Henryka Bochniarz, president of the Confederacy of Leviathan
– Maciej Witucki's position as president of BusinessEurope, the largest organization representing business in Europe, is an expression of appreciation for Leviathan's activity in Brussels and the strategy of building a strong position of Polish business in the European forum. This confirms the effectiveness of the many years of activities of the Leviathan environment - both European activity and experience in building relations with EU partners and consistent support for Ukraine's European aspirations. Taking specified a strategical position in Europe by a typical of Leviathan is simply a reason for pride not only for the organization itself, but besides an crucial minute for Polish business.
Leviathan has been present in Brussels for 25 years, and the representation of the organization was opened even before Poland joined the European Union. Since then, Leviathan has actively participated in European economical dialogue, representing the interests of Polish entrepreneurs and building relations with the most crucial EU institutions.
Poland's strong position in the European Union requires constant presence and active participation in decision-making processes in Brussels. If we want to build our position effectively in the EU, concrete action is needed and strengthening our presence in the European institutions. Leviathan has for years shown how to do this effectively. Europeanness is 1 of the foundations of our activity.
The permanent presence of Lewiatan Europe in Brussels gives companies cooperating with the organisation a real impact on the form of EU regulations inactive at the phase of their creation. Entrepreneurs benefit from the support of experts specialised in the EU legislative process, keep a direct relation with the Euro MPs, the European Commission and the EU administration, and get more information about planned legal changes and their possible impact on business. Our presence in Brussels allows entrepreneurs to present manufacture demands more effectively, build global coalitions and increase efficiency at European level.
