During the reorganization, Russian commanders realized that there was no point in simply continuing erstwhile suicide attacks due to the fact that Ukrainians would push them distant anyway.
Therefore, Russian commanders developed a strategy to yet break and destruct the Ukrainian cape on the east bank of the river.
Their plan consisted of 2 parts
First, they were to carry out major infantry attacks towards Terna and Jampolówka.
Russian commanders hoped that a series of powerful attacks would distract Ukrainian defenders in the northern direction.
The Russians would then carry out a powerful mechanized attack to rapidly break the dispersed Ukrainian defenders and establish a bridgehead in Torsk.
If the Russian attack on Torske succeeds, the Russians will cut down the main supply line for Ukrainians in the north and divide the Ukrainian defence into 2 parts.
Although specified a breach would be a serious blow to the Ukrainian defence, it would not mean the collapse of the cape.

The soldiers stated that the Russian forces were able to gain 2 positions during these dense clashes, but mostly the Russian attack failed due to the fact that they destroyed many Russian assault groups.
