A lot of updates have been made present from the Liman direction

The Russians have reinforced this direction with additional forces and are preparing for a fresh spring-summer offensive
The eventual goal of the Russians is to cross the river Żrebiec and scope the Ukrainian city of Liman, a key railway and logistics hub known as the “Donbas gate”.

In the past, in order to accomplish this goal, the Russians carried out direct frontal attacks from the east, which Ukrainians were resisting flanking from the forest to the south, forcing the Russians to retreat
In fresh weeks, the Russians have reorganized and strengthened their units in this area and are again attempting to break the Ukrainian defence.

There are presently 2 crucial battles: 1 in the forest and the another in the direction of Jampolówka.
In the long term, if the Russians want to occupy the Lymans, they must approach both the forest and the river.

But before they can cross the river and approach Łiman, the Russians must establish control of 3 Ukrainian settlements: Terny, Jampolivka and Torske.
During these attacks, Russian flanks are exposed to Ukrainian counterattacks from the south.
Therefore, it is crucial for the Russians to establish control over the outside of the forest.
Nevertheless, the Ukrainians keep a steady defence and were able to halt Russian attacks on the forest, simultaneously leading fire on the road to Torske and forcing the Russians to redirect to the fields.

Away from the forest, the Russians made Jampolivka and Terna their main targets.
If we look at the topographical map, we will see that the sediments along the reservoirs are located in the lowlands and are under Ukrainian control, while the hills to the east overlooking the settlements are partially under Russian control.
The Russians utilized this advantage to carry out direct frontal attacks on Ukrainian positions down the hill.
However, Ukrainians were able to deal with these direct attacks, keeping well organized supply lines and fast consequence forces to counterattack if the situation became tragic

To launch attacks on the settlements themselves, The Russians must first extend control of the forests to the east.
The Russians increased the force here, utilizing large mechanized attacks to overwhelm Ukrainian defenders.
However, in most cases the attacked positions are so badly damaged that they are not useful to Russian forces.
Ukrainians then usage their fast consequence forces to counterattack and reflect lost positions, forcing dense losses on depleted Russian assault groups.

After the erstwhile storm waves have been completed and tiny territorial gains achieved in February, The Russians were forced to reduce their activity in the region and devote time to the regeneration of forces.
A spokesperson for the Ukrainian Chortitsia Force Group, Ilia Yevlasz, stated that Russian forces strengthen their assault groups with recruits from the Sorm-Z convicts and shift additional forces into the area.
Russian aviation besides carried out raids with FAB-500 gliders on Ukrainian positions in the area, preparing for attacks.

Shortly thereafter, the Russians completed the reorganization and launched a fresh wave of attacks towards Jampolivka
The first attack occurred at night erstwhile 7 Russian armored vehicles attempted to scope Ukrainian defensive positions and surprise them.
However, Ukrainian drone operators monitored the area and spotted the Russian assault group in a long time
One by one, they were subsequently completely destroyed by mines and Ukrainian artillery.
Later during the day, the Russians carried out 2 more attacks, trying to scope the settlement.
The first attack consisted of 1 T-90M tank at the head and 1 combat BMP infantry car following it.
You can see they're circling the remains of a night attack.
However, they decide to take a different route, and Ukrainian artillery almost immediately opens fire on a assault group which manages to drive about a kilometer further before the tank invades the mine and becomes immobilized.
The tank crew and assault squad then manages to disembark and escape to the tree line, and the BMP provides fire support.
However, Ukrainian artillery opened fire on infantry utilizing cluster ammunition.
With no more infantry to support, the BMP decides to withdraw, but is rapidly shot down by a kamikaze drone.

The 3rd attack that day was carried out by a tiny group of soldiers on Chinese field vehicles
